Postpaid contract plans appear to be about nailing wireless users to the wall with unfair rates, hidden fees, and terms of service that can be renewed even without a customer’s consent. People who glean some sort of status from holding an agreement with a major wireless company might look down on pay as you go alternatives, but the truth is postpaid wireless is just money out the window.
Prepaid cell phone service allows you to pay for only the minutes you actually use. Instead of being lured into a plan loaded with unclear charges and hidden fees, with prepaid you simply load your phone and use your airtime.

In fact it’s not a big leap of the imagination to think that prepaid will become the primary method of wireless use. We may be on our way to a world where 90% or more of the cell phone using population leverage prepaid service plans.
