Judas Priest Tickets - Outstanding Live Album!

06/17/2009 - Entertainment Judas Priest has decided on 10 songs that have not been previously released to be included on a live album titled A Touch of Evil: Live. The record is due out on July 14, which falls directly in the middle of the band's U.S. summer tour. A Touch of Evil will include the live versions of some old Priest favorites like "Painkiller," "Dissident Aggressor," "Riding on the Wind," "Between the Hammer and the Anvil" and "Eat Me Alive." The metal band is currently preparing for its much-talked-about summer tour, during which they will play their 1980 album British Steel in its complete entirety - from front to back.

The tour is scheduled to officially kick off on June 29 in Indianapolis and will wrap up on August 23 in Gilford, New Hampshire. Whitesnake is the scheduled opening act for the tour. As one of the more influential heavy metal bands of the 1970s, Judas Priest helped lead the way in the British Heavy Metal genre. Instrumental in fusing together gothic doomsday tunes with more mainstream pop-metal melodies, Judas Priest inspired an entire hodgepodge of eclectic death metal bands that rose to prominence during the years between 1975 and 1985.

The following year, the band emerged once again with another noteworthy record, called Hell Bent for Leather (Killing Machine in the U.K.). This record included the hit songs: "Delivering the Goods," "Hell Bent for Leather" and "Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)." It was a blistering dark and morbid album that further progressed Judas Priest's standing the growing heavy metal industry.

These days, Judas Priest are hardly the young dudes on the metal scene, but they still remain prominent.
