Self Defense Keychains

The number one rule with any self defense product is that it must be accessible. If you can't have it out and ready to use the second that you need it, it may be too late to stop the attack. When faced with an attacker, time is of the essence. Rather than selecting a large self defense weapon that you may keep in the bottom of your handbag (or worse yet, in your glovebox or at home), why not choose a compact self defense keychain? This perfectly portable device is an excellent solution to the problem of convenience.

There are several different types of self defense keychains. By far the most popular is a pepper spray canister or pepper shot. These canisters typically contain between half an ounce and an ounce of pepper spray, more than enough to disable any attacker and allow you time to get away. There are several varieties available, including spray designed particularly to keep attacking dogs at bay, as well as canisters in fun colors, including camo, blue, and pink. You can even keep your keychain canister in a cute case designed specifically for it.

Personal alarms are another popular keychain-sized self defense option. Though they will not physically stop your attacker like a canister of pepper spray, they do call attention to the situation. In a similar manner to a home security alarm, the attacker may flee from fear of being caught in the act. These devices also make an excellent choice for children or elderly people who may not have the physical strength or agility to fight back using pepper spray. This type of alarm can also bring help in other situations, such as a fall or a lost child. A personal alarm keychain looks just like the remote lock for a car.

For those who prefer a more hands-on method of self defense, consider a keychain baton. This telescoping method is easy to carry with you, but expands quickly to provide a powerful weapon to use against your attacker. Though it does require more skill to use such a device correctly, it also has a very intimidating appearance.

Keychain-sized self defense products are discrete and convenient to carry. Easy to use, they can dramatically increase your odds of escaping the attack unharmed. When it comes to your own self defense, you must be able to rely on the products that you have with you. Keychain-sized pepper spray canisters, personal alarms, or batons are some of the best ways to ensure that you'll always be able to protect yourself from attack. When this keychain is attached to your keys, you'll be sure to never leave home without it.

When you do your holiday shopping this year, consider self defense keychains to keep your family and friends save from harm. They make great stocking stuffers and are more useful than almost anything else you could buy. Your gift could even save a loved one's life someday, and it will give you peace of mind to know that they are protected.
